I was asked to speak at Motek Medicals headquarters in Amsterdam. The first part of my talk was to prospective customers of motek from Australia , Canada, China, Korea and different hubs that they have around the world.
They showed my film at this presentation of me using the C-mill and explaining all the benefits I had from using it. It was quite emotional sat there and seeing new people watch my video and reacting to it in the way they did, it was a very emotional experience.
We had a lovely lunch in a small cafe just around the corner from the motek headquarters where we all talked and had some great experiences and shared our stories.
I then had to talk at their production facilities and explain to the production crew that their work was really important and how it benefited patients like myself who used the machines they built as part of my recovery. This was a great afternoon and I had a great time speaking to all the various production people with different skill sets. The look on their faces when they saw me and saw how what the equipment did to enhance my life, that was a special moment I won’t forget for a long time.
In the afternoon I went for a visit to Ajax football stadium. The Johan Cruyff Arena. An amazing stadium of a spectacular design and very easy to get to from the City centre.
In the evening we received a guided tour of Amsterdam city centre. This was a great experience with unbelievable architecture, the railway station is just magnificent . All The Small cafes and bars its a very lively City and has a beautiful Waterfront there as well as impressive restaurants and pubs in particularly were very entertaining.
I had an early flight in the morning so we weren’t out too late but I was extremely tired after a very busy day and was looking forward to going home and just relax a bit after what had been a busy few months of work and golf.
